Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King brought remarks during the official opening ceremony of the National Maritime Exhibition and Career Fair on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at the Mall at Marathon.Hosted by The Ministry of Transport and Housing in collaboration with The National Maritime Policy Implementation (NMPIC), the exhibition and career fair aims to bring awareness to fields within the maritime industry. Coordinators also seeking to give young individuals a comprehensive look at the various career fields available within maritime industry.During his keynote address, Commodore King mentioned the steps in which The Bahamas Government is aggressively pursuing to help diversify and shape the blue economy to include interested individuals. He also spoke about healthy maritime relations, climate change resilience, and ocean governance. According to him, the path to establishing and strengthening existing foundations can be obtained by working cohesively to reach one common goal.Also in attendance were Mrs. Dayna Rolle, Undersecretary in the Ministry of Transport and Housing, Dr. Brendamae Cleare, President of the Lowell J.
