Defence Headquarters, 16 NOV. ‘23 (RBDF): Deputy Commander Defence Force Captain Shondell Pinder paid his respects on behalf of Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond E. King at the viewing and book signing for former Ambassador the Late Alma Adams, at the House of Assembly, on November 16, 2023. Adams held various significant roles throughout her career. She served in the Senate from 1987 to 1992 and later as the consul general in Miami, Florida, representing The Bahamas from 2002 to 2008. Additionally, she held the esteemed position of The Bahamas ambassador to Cuba from 2012 to 2017.
A state recognized funeral will be held at Christ Church Cathedral, George Street on Friday, 17 November 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the St. Agnes Cemetery, Nassau Street.
Commodore Raymond E. King extends sincerest condolences to the Adams family on behalf of himself, his Executive Team, Officers, Warrant Officers, Senior Rates, Junior Rates, and Veterans of The Royal Bahamas Defence Force.
