Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Member of Parliament (MP) for Exuma and Ragged Island, Mr. Chester Cooper recently visited Ragged Island where he met with Marines stationed at HMBS Gunn Point on Thursday, December 7th.
While visiting, he took the time to dialogue with the Marines stationed there and also thoughtfully presented each of them with a copy of his book.
During his visit, DPM Cooper along with his wife Mrs Cecilia Cooper, were accompanied by Island Administrator, Mr Donald Rolle, and actively participated in a few small but impactful community initiatives.
Their endeavors included distributing toys to the children and holiday turkeys to the families within the community, for the festive season. In addition to this, as a testament to his commitment to community development, the Deputy Prime Minister toured the soon to be established school and clinic on the island where construction is still ongoing. This visit to the island and comprehensive engagement underscored DPM Cooper’s dedication to bolstering both military morale and community well-being.
The Royal Bahamas Defence Force remains committed to duty.
