Her Majesty’s Bahamian Ship Durward Knowles collided with a jetty at Prince George Wharf last evening after experiencing a hydraulic system makfunction in the harbour. The vessel was was in the process of docking alongside the jetty when the incident occurred around 7 p.m. Thursday night.
Several Marines were taken to hospital as a precautionary measure, and for treatment of mostly minor injuries. The Mari…nes were all discharged later that evening. An investigation is underway to determine precise cause of the incident.
