Members of the Morale Welfare & Recreational Unit of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force recently partnered with the Public Hospital Authority to conduct a Blood Drive on Thursday March 9, 2023, at HMBS Coral Harbour.The drive, which enforces the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King’s strategic objective of strengthening relationships with local agencies and the community at large in the spirit of giving, was organized by Lieutenant Commander Elvis Bullard, Commanding Officer for the RBDF’s Welfare Office.Lieutenant Commander Elvis Bullard expressed his thanks for the turnout of the Officers and Marines who donated blood, and described the event as one of the many initiatives planned this year in an effort to assist service members and the local community. “I encourage persons who are willing and able, that they contribute to the next blood drive because a pint of blood saves lives.”The Royal Bahamas Defence Force remains committed to the overall well-being of its service members and the formulation of partnerships seeking to build stronger and more resilient communities.
