The Royal Bahamas Defence Forcespearheaded the culminating table-top exercise for Operation Marlin Shield. This intensive planning session, held on Thursday, April 4th, 2024, at the Paul Farquhson Center in Police Headquarters East Street, brought together key stakeholders for a strategic summit.


Representatives from the United States Northern Command and U.S. Special Operations Force joined senior leaders from the RBDF, RBPF, Port Department, ISPS Port Department Compliance Unit, National Intelligence Agency, Nassau Cruise Port, and Nassau Container Port. This collaborative effort focused on meticulously crafting the final preparations and operational framework for Marlin Shield.


Marlin Shield serves as a cornerstone for regional security, fostering robust collaboration between Bahamian security forces, relevant government agencies, and our esteemed U.S. partners. This united front strengthens our collective capacity to combat terrorism and illicit trafficking threats throughout the Caribbean.
