The Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) Ceremonial Department took part in their annual community service initiative, held at Goodman’s Bay Beach on March 15, 2024.
Nineteen marines from the Ceremonial Department gathered at Goodman’s Bay Beach to embark on a community cleanup endeavor. With a shared commitment to environmental stewardship and community building, the marines traversed the shoreline, collecting trash and debris littering the beachfront.
The objective of this community cleanup was to foster a sense of community spirit and to set the foundation for future engagement initiatives. By actively participating in community outreach programs, the RBDF Ceremonial Department aims to demonstrate its commitment to serving not only the nation’s security interests but also its local communities.
This community service initiative represents just the beginning of the Ceremonial Department’s broader objective to make meaningful contributions to the community and uphold the reputation of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force. Through active involvement in community initiatives, the RBDF seeks to strengthen its bonds with the community and a positive image of service and dedication.
Under the visionary leadership of Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond E. King, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force continues to exemplify its commitment to corporate citizenship. Through a variety of outreach initiatives and projects, the RBDF remains dedicated to fostering positive community relations, uplifting individuals, and contributing to the overall development of vibrant and thriving communities.
