Nine (9) suspected migrants were apprehended by Her Majesty’s Bahamian Ship (HMBS) Nassau, under the command of Lieutenant Commander Jataro McDonald, Saturday 9 April 2022.While on patrol, HMBS Nassau intercepted a rustic vessel approximately 34.44 nautical miles (NM) off Guinchos Cay, Cay Sal Banks with one (1) female and eight males onboard. The vessel is set to rendezvous with HMBS Lawrence Major who will transport them to Coral Harbour Base for medical assessment and to be handed over to the relevant authorities for further processing.This arrest is another in a recent string of migrant apprehensions.
