The Royal Bahamas Defence Force has regrettably called off the active search for other possible survivors or fatalities of the missing persons who were onboard the vessel that capsized in a failed smuggling operation on Sunday 24 July 2022.After days of canvassing an expansive area the active search has been called off. The Defence Force is grateful to interagency partners and the United States Coast Guard for their support in this search effort. However, the areas around the Northern end of New Providence will be scanned during routine patrols in the ensuing days.The Royal Bahamas Defence Force remains committed to protecting the territorial intergity of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.
