Defence Headquarters, 5 NOV. ‘21 (RBDF): Consistent with the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Dr. Raymond King’s command philosophy and priority of enhancing the morale and welfare of serving members and veterans, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force recently paid final respects for the late Petty Officer Patrick Turnquest.   

Following a full Military funeral service on Friday, October 22nd, 2021, at HMBS CORAL HARBOUR, the cremated remains of Petty Officer Patrick Turnquest were taken aboard a Defence Force vessel and his ashes were spread at sea, and the squadmates of Entry 33 and Woman Entry 7 placed a wreath in the waters in honour of their departed squadmate. 

Led by Deputy Commander Defence Force, Captain Shonedel Pinder, the Officers and Marines participated in a brief ceremony at RBDF Harbour Patrol Unit on Monday, November 1, 2021, and Chief Petty Officer John Ingraham from the RBDF Welfare section shared encouraging words to the family members. 

Commodore Dr. Raymond King and the Officers and Marines of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force extend condolences to the family of Petty Officer Turnquest, and the organization is indebted to his dedicated services to our country.
