Defence Headquarters, 13 May 2023 (RBDF): RBDF Senior Enlisted, Chief Petty Officer Douglas Edgecombe attended and has successfully completed the Warrant Officers Programme hosted by The Barbados Defence Force (BDF) Bridge Town, Barbados.
The eight-week programme consisted of twenty-four (24) candidates from the Caribbean Region and covered topics such as military leadership and management, and development. The aim of the programme was to aid in the development of knowledge and skills of its candidates in key areas necessary for promotion to the rank of Warrant Officer. The programme’s architecture consisted of mostly instructional period with the last week designed for candidates to build their portfolios in order to attain a level four (4) National Vocational Qualification (NVQ). Additionally, all candidates were graded at the end of each module and were required to pass every module to successfully complete the programme.
