DEFENCE HEADQUARTERS: 04 MAY ‘23 (RBDF): The Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King took time out of his busy schedule to read a short story book to students at the Stephen Dillet Primary School on Tuesday May 2, 2023.
Accompanied by his wife Retired Force Chief Petty Officer Fredricka King, both shared in reading the book entitled “On Grandad’s Back” to the students. Organized by the school’s Guidance Counselor Najee Burrows and Grade six teacher Anndra Pedican, the youngsters were thrilled with the interactive story, based on Bahamian culture and resources.
School Principal Dr. Clinton Josey Snr. was appreciative for the gesture, which coincides with the celebration of the country’s 50th Independence Anniversary. Commodore King was grateful
for the opportunity to share with the staff and students and was later presented with tokens of appreciation.
