In its commitment to highlight individuals who have demonstrated remarkable commitment within the department, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force’s Squadron Department proudly recognized a few of its marine in a recent awards presentation at Coral Harbour Base.
Among those honored were former Senior Rates and current Marines — C/P/O Patrick Donald, P/O Christina Rahming, A/W/M Melvina Brown-McKenzie, and A/B Hiram Moss. Their dedication and commitment to the department were commended.
In addition to this, the Marines of the Quarter, A/W/M Oriscia Clarke and M/S Hilton Forbes, were acknowledged for their devoted service during the 1st and 2nd Quarters of 2023, respectively.
The department also celebrated the achievements of L/S Dario Brennen, named Marine of the Year for 2021, and L/S Miguel Mortimer, recognized as the Marine of the Year for 2022. Their service and enthusiasm were acknowledged and appreciated.
Highlighting another exceptional accomplishment, HMBS MADEIRA was awarded Ship of the Year for its outstanding achievements in arrests, search and rescue efforts, and extensive time at sea during the year 2023.
The Commander of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King subscribes to the principle of recognizing and rewarding deserving members for their contributions, commitment and dedication to their duties.
