Four (4) Cuban migrants were apprehended by the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) today on Little Ragged Island through the cooperative effort of the local community.This morning RBDF personnel received information from a local resident who reported sighting suspected Cuban migrants on the island. A RBDF fast patrol craft was dispatched to the area to investigate and upon arrival, five (5) suspected Cuban migrants were located. The suspected migrants were apprehended and will be transported by RBDF fast patrol to Gunn Point, Ragged Island where they will be handed over to the necessary agencies for further processing. The Royal Bahamas Defence Force encourages the support from local communities as they continue to assist the RBDF and partner agencies in protecting the territorial integrity of The Bahamas and keeping our borders secured.
