A day after meeting with the Minister of National Security, the Honourable Marvin Dames on Wednesday past, Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King and the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Executive Team paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister, the Most Honourable Hubert A. Minnis on Thursday June 11, 2020.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister congratulated Commodore King and his Senior Officers who were among the number of Defence Force Officers and Marines which were either promoted or advanced during its promotional exercise.
During his official Change of Command Ceremony on May 21, Prime Minster Minnis noted that Commodore King’s wealth of experience in both the administrative and operational sectors of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force is a great asset for both the country and the organization. With the northern Bahamas currently in its reconstruction phase following the passage of Hurricane Dorian, and the COVID-19 pandemic which the country is experiencing, the nation’s leader told Commodore King that he must continue his strong leadership and commitment during these times.
