Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King met with the Chinese Ambassador-Designate H.E Ms. Dai Qingli on Monday June 23, 2022 to discuss matters of mutual interest between both organizations.During their brief convention they converse about security cooperation support which entails professional military education and staff officer training virtually and residence courses. Being a versatile force, Commodore King always seeks to find new avenues to better equip the organization so that its members can carry out their mandate. They elaborated on humanitarian assistance and disaster relief training and equipment for serving members. This would aid not only the Royal Bahamas Defence Force but the entire country in times of natural disasters. The use of low grade equipment and armored transport vehicles for troop transport in rugged terrain, urban search and rescue among others were of concern.In concluding their meeting, cultural exchanges were made by both Commodore King and Ms. Qingli. They thanked each other for the opportunity to discuss such matters and are looking forward to continuous support and cooperation.Also in attendance was Deputy Commander Defence Force, Captain Shonedel Pinder, Executive Staff Officer, Captain Henry Daxon, Aid De Camp Lt. Commander Delvonne Duncombe, Command Warrant Officer, Remone Storr and Delegates of the Chinese Embassy Of The People’s Republic Of China.
