In keeping with Commamder Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King’s strategic plan to strengthen community relations with stakeholders and the larger community, on July 18, 2022, Cecil Penn Jr. president and coach of the Andros Basketball Association visited The Ministry of National Security and paid a courtesy call to Captain Henry Daxon. The primary purpose of the visit was to assist the association with funding their trip to New Providence so that they would be able to attend the Scooter Reid Peace on the streets Basketball Classic.During their encounter, both Captain Daxon and Mr. Penn discussed matters of mutual interest regarding the Andros Basketball Association and that youths that are involved. The trip to the basketball classic is centered on the athletes gaining recognition for the sport on a higher level. It is also meant to expose the athletes to the broader world of sports, providing them with an experience they will never forget and in hopes of receiving a scholarship.Concluding their meeting Mr. Penn expressed his thanks and gratitude toward Captain Daxon’s donation.The Royal Bahamas Defence Force remains committed as a corporate citizen while guarding our heritage.
