Defence Headquarters, 25 Oct. ‘23 (RBDF): In a moment of pride and recognition, hardworking
marines from the Fleet Maintenance Department at HMBS Coral Harbour Base were celebrated on
October 25, 2023 for demonstrating an unwavering commitment to their work, and setting new
standards of excellence in maintaining the fleet’s operational readiness.

Led by Lieutenant Commander Gordon Roberts, the Fleet Maintenance Department, has identified
these individuals for their outstanding performance over the various quarters. These dedicated marines
particularly Leading Mechanic Renaud Bain, awardee for the 1st & 4th Quarter, Able Mechanic
Aldion Armbrister, awardee for the 2nd Quarter, and Able Mechanic Riclisha Kelson, awardee for the
3rd Quarter, have all proven themselves as exceptional, self-motivated and self-disciplined
individuals.

Their commendable work ethic has set them apart from their peers, and their outstanding work
performance has been integral in supporting the strategic intent of the Commander Defence Force,
Commodore Raymond King.

With a focus on planned and preventative maintenance, they have each made a positive impact and
have contributed significantly to the fulfillment of organizational goals and the overall readiness of
the patrol vessels in the fleet.

The Royal Bahamas Defence Force extends a resounding “BRAVO ZULO”. Their dedication and
professionalism are an inspiration to us all, reflecting the highest standards of excellence in the Fleet
Maintenance Department.
