International Men’s Day is globally recognized holiday observed throughout the world in more than fifty (50) countries, acknowledging the various achievements of men from socioeconomic, cultural and political arenas. Today at Christie Park, the Bahamas National Committee celebrated their annual International Men’s Day March with men from all walks of life throughout the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. A contingent from the Royal Bahamas Defence Force led by the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King, Aid de Camp, Lieutenant Commander Delvonne Duncombe, and the Command Warrant Officer, Force Chief Petty Officer Ramone Storr along with the Defence Force Band participated in the march.Commodore King stated briefly that the organization was pleased in joining civil society in solidarity towards a common cause to raise awareness and consciousness against crime and violence.
