The Royal Bahamas Defence Force Supply Department held an award ceremony at HMBS Coral Harbour Base to commemorate Marines who successfully completed the Safety Training Course and those awarded the Marine of the Quarter for outstanding work performance during the period of July to September on October 28, 2022.Twelve marines were presented certificates of completion for the Safety Training Course. Participants received instruction in various methods of safety procedures that could be implemented in their work environment, enabling them to carry out their duties more efficiently. The Marine of the Quarter award was awarded to four marines from various sections of the Supply Department: Marine Seaman Darius Agenor, Marine Seaman Camron Shepherd, Marine Seaman Taro Thompson and Women Marine T’andra Spence.Presenting the awards were Captain Coral Harbour, Captain Glenn McPhee assisted by Chaplin of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force, Apostle Raymond Wells, Master at Arms, Force Chief Petty Officer Raymond Sands and Force Chief Petty Officer Quinton Burrows. This evolution is part of the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King’s focus to develop a high-performance and professional workforce focused on performance excellence and succession planning of service members.
