CAPTAIN SAMUEL EVANS (RETIRED)
Defence Headquarters, 31 MAY ‘23 (RBDF): The Royal Bahamas Defence Force held a memorial service for The Late Retired Deputy Commander Defence Force Captain, Samuel T. Evans on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at HMBS Coral Harbour.
During the ceremony family, friends, and colleagues paid their respects to a man who undoubtedly left an everlasting and noble imprint on the organization and those who loved him. Tributes to Captain Evans poured in from colleagues who he would have had the opportunity to work alongside, mentor and nurture throughout his career.
Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond E. King brought remarks in which he offered his sincerest and heartfelt condolences on behalf of his family and the Royal Bahamas Defence Force family. He also reflected on moments when Captain Evans too molded and inspired him to strive for nothing less than greatness and added that the impact he made on the organization will live on forever.
The Memorial Service concluded with a special prayer for divine covering and blessings upon the Evans family made by Force Chief Petty Officer John Ingraham.
The Royal Bahamas Defence Force conveys heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Captain Samuel Evans on behalf of the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King, Officers, Marines and Veterans, and pray that God’s grace and mercy will shine upon you throughout this time of great difficulty.
