Female Marines attached to the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Southern Command were invited to participate in the Anglican Christian Women’s (ACW) Young Ladies Seminar on Saturday, October 22 at St. Phillip’s Anglican Church community center in Matthew Town, Inagua. The seminar, held under the theme “Putting the Pieces Together” was geared toward young women within the community of Inagua and the key verse, Proverbs 3:5-7 set the course for the young women to follow. Able Woman Marine Davia Nottage and Woman Marine Shelia Thelusma addressed the young ladies present about their experiences as females within the Royal Bahamas Defence Force and provided them with the necessary tools and guidance to become influential women in society. Strategically, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force under the leadership of Commodore Raymond King values the role of being socially corporate; giving back to society and youth development nationally.
