Defence Headquarters, 15 NOV. ‘23 (RBDF): The Royal Bahamas Defence Force Veterans Affairs Association commemorated their 4th anniversary as an officially recognized organization with a courtesy call to the Deputy to the Governor General. The event, held at One Montague in The Office of The Governor General, was a significant moment for the Association.

During the courtesy call, the Veterans Affairs Association presented their Articles of Association to Mrs. Ruby Ann Cooper Darling, standing in for Governor General Cynthia Pratt. These articles encompassed the companies act and memorandums of the association, symbolizing the organization’s commitment to its principles and objectives.

The courtesy call was attended by four esteemed representatives from the Veterans Affairs Association, including Harold Bossfield, the President, Warren Armbrister, Vice President, Andrew Johnson, Treasurer, and Secretary, Mrs. Prenel Henfield. In addition, they extended invitations to notable members of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force, including Captain Coral Harbour, Captain Glenn Mcphee, Commander Judy McDonald, Veterans Affairs Officer, Chaplain Apostle Raymond Wells, Master at Arms Force Chief Petty Officer Raymond Sands, Force Chief Petty Officer John Ingraham, and members of the Veterans Affairs Office.

Established on November 11, 2019, the Royal Bahamas Veterans Association celebrates its fourth year as a legalized organization. With a core mission to assist veterans who have served in the Royal Bahamas Defence Force during their times of need, the Association embodies camaraderie and mutual support among its members.

This anniversary reaffirms the Association’s dedication to fostering a supportive environment where veterans and active service members can come together to assist and uplift each other. The Royal Bahamas Defence Force remains unwavering in its commitment to ensuring the well-being and support of both its veterans and active service members.

The RBDF under the leadership of Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond E. King, is dedicated to the transformation of Defence Force personnel’s quality and capabilities. This commitment is rooted in the pursuit of excellence in leadership, which is demonstrated through professionalism…. Through meaningful involvement of service members, we share the responsibility for accomplishing the Defence Force’s Mandate.
