On Tuesday, October 17, 2023, Colonel Matthew Tucker, Special Operations Command North (SOCNORTH) Commander, paid a courtesy visit to Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King at Defence Headquarters, John F. Kennedy Drive,
Present at the meeting were Aide to Colonel Matthew Tucker, Captain Justin Godes, SOCNORTH Senior Enlisted Leader, Chief Master Sergeant Clint Grizzle, U.S. Embassy Senior Defence Official, Captain Greg Gellman, US Embassy Office of Defence Cooperation representative, Captain Jonathan Griffith, and the RBDF Executive Command Team.
The discussions revolved around mutual interests between The Bahamas and the United States, emphasizing ongoing collaboration, capacity development, security cooperation, and training initiatives. Both sides exchanged gifts as a symbol of their commitment to strengthening the bilateral relationship.
Following the courtesy call, Colonel Tucker and his team toured HMBS Coral Harbour Base.
