Defence Headquarters, 28 AUG. ‘23 (RBDF): Six members of the NextGen Young Men Mentorship Program met with Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King, and his Executive Leadership Team on August 24, 2023, at the Ministry of National Security Building on John F. Kennedy Drive.
The primary aim of this gathering was to provide the mentees with a unique experience and enable them to develop a deeper comprehension of leadership, discipline, and principles in the public service, through interactions with leaders in the defense sector. Accompanying the group were Senator Ronald Duncombe, Mr. Ryan Duncombe and Bishop Lester Cox.
During the meeting, the young men engaged in constructive dialogues with Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King, and the assembled officers and marines. They also had the opportunity to pose thoughtful questions, in an effort to gain insight into what inspired the Defence Force personnel to embark on their military journeys and what life as a Marine truly entails.
On conclusion of the meeting, Senator Ronald Duncombe presented Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King, with a distinguished plaque. This plaque symbolized the heartfelt recognition of his exceptional military service and unwavering commitment to the development of young men throughout the Bahamas.
