Our deepest and most heartfelt condolences are extended to the family members and loved ones of the late Rev. Dr. Lloyd Smith, president of the Bahamas National Baptist Missionary and Educational Convention.
We have truly lost remarkable individual whose influence extended far beyond his service to The Bahamas and the wider church community. Although he made significant contributions in various areas, he will forever be remembered and cherished as a stern spiritual leader. Rev. Smith’s remarkable legacy as the moderator of the Independent Baptist Association will forever leave an enduring impact on the religious landscape. His visionary leadership has undeniably set a profound precedent for future leaders to follow. During this time of sorrow, our thoughts are with all those who were touched by his wisdom, guidance, and compassion. May his memory be a source of strength and inspiration for us all.
Commodore King conveyed deepest sympathies to the widow and family of the late Rev. Dr. Lloyd Smith on behalf of his personal family including the Officers, Marines, Reservists and Rangers of the RBDF. He reflected on the divine and earthly work from Rev. Dr. Smith’s hands in saving souls for the Kingdom of God and as a nation builder by means of his time, treasure, and talents. He thanked the widow of Rev. Dr. Smith for loaning him to country.
