In continuance with the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King’s intent to broaden outreach capabilities, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Morale, Welfare and Recreational (MWR) Unit paid a visit on members of the Northern and Southern Detachments over the past week. The purpose of this initiative was to demonstrate the unit’s dedication and commitment to the morale of service personnel. The team, led by Force Chief Petty Officer Darrin Roker, conducted a Welfare and Morale Needs Analysis of serving members in Bimini, Grand Bahama, Exuma Land and Sea Park and Inagua, to gain better appreciation of recreational provisions needed at those sites. This newly formed unit will ensure active members receive the available services and support needed for them to carry out their duties more effectively. Detachment teams also received briefings on future initiatives geared towards educating members on proper preparation methods for future deployments.
