The Royal Bahamas Veterans Affairs Association paid a courtesy call to Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King, and his Executive Leadership Team on March 26, 2023, at the Ministry of National Security Building Commander Defence Force Conference Room. Led by President of the Veterans Affairs Association, Chief Petty Officer (ret.) Daniel Ferguson, the delegation included Petty Officer (ret.) Warren Armbrister as Vice President, Chief Petty Officer (ret.) Andrew Johnson as Treasurer, and Chief Petty Officer (ret.) Prenell Henfield as Secretary.


Their visit was aimed at fostering collaboration between the Veterans Affairs Association and the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) and during the meeting, association representatives were able to engage in discussions with Commander Defence Force and his team to address various challenges faced by the Veterans Affairs Association. Among the topics discussed was the need for a meeting facility, procurement of uniforms for various events, and other issues.


The objective of this collaborative effort is to leverage the resources and expertise of both organizations to find effective solutions to the challenges faced by the Veterans Affairs Association. By working hand in hand, they are both focused on the enhancement, and support of veterans along with the improvement of their overall well-being.


Under the leadership of Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force remains committed to supporting veterans and recognizing their invaluable contributions to the nation. Through collaboration with organizations like the Veterans Affairs Association, the RBDF reaffirms its dedication to honoring and serving those who have served their country.
