As part of Commander Defence Force, Commodore Dr. Raymond King’s strategic plans for the outreach throughout the communities and strengthening community relations, the HMBS Matthew Town Deployment Team hosted the Southern Command’s 1st Annual Whit Monday Community Fun Day.Families turned out in full support of the festivities which included bouncing castles, water slides, swimming pools, lots of great food, and fun activities. The purpose of organizing this Community Fun Day is to foster greater community collaboration provide wholesomely and fulfilled activities for the children on Whit Monday holiday and give back to the communityLieutenant Commander Byron Brown, Base Executive Officer Southern Command said “Our involvement and contributions to the Inagua community are fundamental for us an active community partner”.The Royal Bahamas Defence Force remains committed to nation-building for the younger generation while Guarding Our Heritage.
